Bio Oil - pics, swatches, review

Hello, Beautiful!

I've waited a few months before I wanted to write this review because I wanted to see how well this product performed. I'm talking about Bio Oil. I'm sure you've heard of it - either from TV or in a magazine ad, or even a blog post or YouTube review. I've wanted to try this product for awhile now, and when I finally did I knew I'd want to write about it but wanted to give it time to see how well it works for different situations. Check out my full review below, including all the product info, after the pics!

My Rating: 5 out of 5 Kisses!

Bio Oil is a specialist moisturizing oil that helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, aging and dehydrated skin. Bio-Oil has won 135 skincare awards since its global launch in 2002. It is America's #1 selling multi-use skincare oil.

Formulated with a combination of plant extracts and vitamins suspended in an oil base. It contains the breakthrough ingredient PurCellin Oil, which changes the formulation's overall consistency, making it light and non-greasy, ensuring that the goodness contained in the vitamins and plant extracts is easily absorbed.

Bio-Oil has undergone safety assessments in accordance with the Council on Cosmetic Products. The toxicological profile, chemical structure, level of inclusion and total level of daily exposure of each ingredient used has been assessed and deemed safe for use -- including for use by pregnant women. Bio-Oil is a member of Beauty Without Cruelty International.

It is recommended that Bio-Oil be applied twice daily for a minimum of 3 months. It should be massaged in a circular motion until fully absorbed. During pregnancy, Bio-Oil should be applied from the start of the second trimester to areas that are prone to stretch marks such as the abdomen, breasts, lower back, hips, buttocks and thighs.

Bio-Oil has been tested to be a non-irritant product for people with sensitive skin and to be non-acnegenic. Intended for topical cosmetic application only. Do not use on broken skin. In the unlikely event of skin irritation, discontinue use. Results will vary from individual to individual. Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight.

This has a light scent and it absorbs into skin easily. I used this on stretch marks, scars, and even acne. It really does work! It did take some time to see results on stretch marks, but it DID lessen the appearance and also made the skin feel way softer/smoother.

On scars, it definitely helps to heal them quicker - I feel like it did, at least - and help not leave behind a noticeable mark. I used this on my acne too - and even though it doesn't say it heals acne, I feel like it helps in the healing process.

After using this for a few months, I can honestly say this works and everyone that has raved about it is absolutely right. This is one of those products that you need to stick with to see results, but it's worth it! Would recommend to anyone with scars, stretch marks, or if you're pregnant.
