Milani Limited Edition (matte) Baked Bronzers - Sienna & Sunset - pics, swatches, review

Hello, Beautiful!

Milani already has a line of baked bronzers, but they recently released two new shades - which both happen to be matte! Just like their new matte baked blushes, their new matte baked bronzers are a hit! I actually already posted these on Instagram about a week ago (if you don't already follow me there, I'd love if you did; my Instagram name is ValentineKissesBeauty). The texture of these bronzers are divine and they're very blendable. I just wish there were more shades and that they were not limited edition. The two shades are 08 Sunset and 07 Sienna. Check out all the product info, along with my full review, after the pics!

** These are already sold out on the Milani website, but they sometimes re-stock the website (just keep checking). The only other place you can find these are in select Walgreen stores. If you want these, you need to act fast!

Milani Limited Edition Baked Bronzer Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $8.99 (0.25 oz full size). Available only on the Milani website and at select Walgreens.
My Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Kisses!

Product Info...

This multi-purpose bronzing powder is the perfect backdrop for a shimmery eye or blush. The finish is matte, yet luminous and makes you look beautifully bronzed. Mirror and brush applicator included. Made in Italy.

My Review...

I love Milani's baked blushes, especially their new matte shades, so I was pretty sure I'd love their baked bronzers; and I was right! These have a divine texture - very silky smooth, velvety, and soft to the touch. They blend beautifully too.

Even though these are matte shades, they're not a flat or muddy matte. Just like the product description says, they have a luminosity about them that leaves your skin looking healthy, not dull.

The shade numbers are a bit confusing, as usually the higher number shade would be darker, but in this case the higher number shade - 08 Sunset - is the lighter of the two.

There isn't much difference between them at first glance, and even swatched on white paper there is little difference. Where I saw the biggest difference was on my face. Shade 08 Sunset is definitely my favorite to use as a straight up bronzer, but shade 07 Sienna I can use for a contour shade.

The texture and application get a 5 out of 5 Kisses from me without hesitation. My only complaint would be the colors; to me there is something slightly wrong with the tones; maybe just a touch too orange - although it doesn't come off as orange on the skin.

The shade 08 Sunset gives me a golden glow all over without looking overly bronzed, and I think it will be a great shade for those that are fair to light-medium skintones. The shade 07 Sienna may show up too orange on very fair skintones, but will work best for those with darker light to tan skintones. For some, they will be able to use Sienna as a contour shade. They also work as crease colors for your eyes!

Final Thoughts...

For a drugstore bronzer, this is a phenomenal formula and I love that Milani has come out with some matte shades of their Baked Bronzer. I just wish they weren't limited edition, because they are hard to find (as these only launched in select Walgreens and on their website). I say if you want a drugstore bronzer, this is one to look into if you can get your hands on it.

Now let me know what you think...

  1. I haven't been able to find these anywhere in my area! I've checked several CVS and Walgreen's stores in my area and they don't have them. It's so frustrating. Even Milani website does not have them, and I see where you said they sold-out online! I don't know why it's so difficult to get their products!
